The 5 days Gorilla and Chimp Trekking safari takes you to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will encounter the magnificent mountain gorillas. You will also enjoy a game drive in Uganda's Queen Elizabeth National Park and a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel to view elephants, lions, warthogs, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, and more in their natural habitat. Also spot chimpanzees in Kibale National Park and enjoy a moment with them as you trek through the dense green forest. What a great glimpse into the pearl of Africa.
Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! The airport in Entebbe will be your arrival destination. You will be welcomed by our professional tour guide and given a brief overview of the 5 days ahead. You will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an evening game drive in the park. This park is the most popular savanna park in Uganda and is ideal for viewing lions, including the Tree Climbing lions, during a Uganda Wildlife Safari. This country is renowned for its diverse habitats, which include lakes, savannah grasslands, forests, and wetlands, all of which feed the country's largest mammals.
Your first day will already be full of natural wildlife as you encounter elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and birds.
Our recommendation is to arrive the day before so that you can do some sightseeing in Kampala and Entebbe before transferring to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We are happy to assist with any planning.

Drive to Kyambura Forest in the morning for a chimpanzee trekking experience. Observe the man’s closest relatives in the wild and watch them as they play, swing on tree branches and fight for food.
Africa's Kyambura Forest has one of the highest concentrations and diversity of primates. This region is home to a large population of endangered chimpanzees, the red colobus monkey (endangered) and the rare L'Hoest's monkey (vulnerable), making it an excellent location for chimpanzee trekking safaris.
In the afternoon, you will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a wide, 32-kilometer long natural channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George, and is a dominant feature of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The channel attracts a varied range of animals and birds, with one of the world's largest concentrations of hippos and numerous Nile crocodiles. At a lucky moment, some animals will be found drinking water, taking a bath or even hunting.

First you will enjoy your breakfast early in the morning, and then you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
For the early birds, another morning game drive is an option for those who want to capture impressive pictures of the sun rising on a safari.
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda has one of the most bio-diverse systems on the planet. The mountain gorilla population within its borders makes up half of the world's population. Due to its biological significance, the forest has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
In the evening you will join a community walk where you will meet with Batwa people, famously called ‘the keepers of the forest’.
